ART021 and Shanghai Art Week: November’s big art moment

If you care about contemporary art and you can pick your Shanghai dates, pick November. That’s when ART021 (上海廿一当代艺术博览会) — the fair widely read as the bellwether of China’s art market — fills the Shanghai Exhibition Center, a gloriously over-the-top Sino-Soviet palace on Yan’an Road that’s worth the ticket by itself.

The 2026 edition is the fair’s 14th; November 11–14 has been reported, with official confirmation (and tickets) to come — recent editions ran Thursday–Sunday in mid-November. The 2025 fair drew ~140 galleries from 22 countries, from global blue-chips to the Chinese galleries defining the scene.

Tickets and tactics

Planned for you

Dates firm up, tickets drop in Chinese channels, and the good dinners around the fairs book out the same week. Tell KORA you’re coming for art week: we confirm the final dates, buy the passes the moment sales open, and build the two-day circuit — fairs, the museum shows worth your hours, and tables near both venues.

Get me ART021 tickets when they go on sale, and plan my November art week in Shanghai.
